My name is Rowena, I've been knitting for over a year. I reside in Manila, Philippines, and have created this website to share my passion for this wonderful hobby. My goal is to assist you in learning crochet, and to share my patterns and tips for improved results. Currently, my articles reach approximately 500 users monthly, and around 150 have subscribed to my newsletter. I'm also considering starting a YouTube channel.

I launched this blog at the start of 2023. The shift to a work-from-home setup granted me an abundance of free time, presenting the perfect opportunity to fulfill my dream of starting a crochet blog.

While there are many resources available, my blog is unique in two ways: Firstly, I focus on education over mere repetition. Nearly all my tutorials and patterns include extensive sections where I delve into theory and offer additional options to my readers. I aim for my readers to understand concepts like ctbl (crocheting through the back loop) to close gaps, rather than just following instructions blindly. They should also know how to gauge and tailor patterns to their body size and preferences.

Secondly, I leverage my passion for photography and video editing to provide high-resolution images and clear videos, aiding in the learning process without the need to squint. Crocheting is all about the details, and mastering it requires seeing those details clearly.

Moreover, I aspire to demonstrate that crocheting is a hobby for everyone: men, women, children, and all identities. During the time I participated on previous events, I came across amazing knitting communities around Metro Manila – each and every one with unique patterns, techniques, and quite amazing traditions. I want to give the diversity of this hobby a home.
